Time, the Quiet Thief

(and it's Gift)

Time has a way of moving quietly… until suddenly it’s loud.

Lately, it feels like the days are slipping through my fingers faster than I can catch them. We’re preparing for my husband to deploy for an extended period of time, and the weight of that reality is really settling in. It’s closing in sooner than I’m ready for, and it’s reminded me of something I already know, but don’t always practice as well as I should.

Family comes first. Always.

Because of this season we’re in, I’ve made the intentional decision to limit bookings for a period of time. I’ll only be taking a few sessions each month so my son and I can soak up every possible minute with my husband before he leaves. These moments matter. They’re not replaceable, and they deserve to be protected.

The ice we experienced recently was bitter cold and inconvenient in so many ways, but in an unexpected twist, it was also a gift. It slowed everything down. No rushing. No packed schedules. Just time together. Sitting. Laughing. Being present. It stopped me in my tracks and reminded me how quickly the days are passing, and how close we already are to a goodbye that feels too big.

Photography has always been about documenting a moment in time for me, but seasons like this make that meaning even deeper. These are the moments we hold onto. The ones we wish we could pause.

I am incredibly thankful for the continued inquiries coming in. Truly. It means more than I can put into words. Because of limited availability, sessions are booking very quickly.

  • February currently has just ONE session available.
  • March has just THREE sessions Available.
  • April has just ONE session available.

May currently has more availability, but that can change quickly.

If you’ve been considering booking, now is the time to reach out. I would love to work with you, and I’m so grateful to those who continue to support my business while I honor this season with my family.

Thank you for understanding. Thank you for trusting me. And thank you for valuing time as much as I do.
